Dear Families

We just have a few notices to share before we sign off for the Christmas and summer holiday break …

Firstly … what a beautiful Nativity tableau our young children created for us on Wednesday 10th Dec evening especially, as we remember through this wonderful retelling, the first Christmas story, the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As a school faith community, we smiled because it was our children who helped to remind us of this special Nativity story … we smiled because of the simpleness of the scene and also at the wonder of the Messiah, our Saviour, sent to us as this precious gift – a small baby boy!  … we smiled because it was the children who shared this Christmas message of hope, joy, love and peace and … we smiled because it was our children who looked so amazing and who presented themselves so well AND who have made us so proud!

Thank you to our staff, to our whānau and to our PTFA and School Board and to everyone who helped to make Wednesday evening full of joyful celebration. We really appreciated the support!

Secondly, please note that the next stage of the Vector project along Airfield Road commences from the 27th December. The Vector  team has asked us to keep our school community informed of the staged project and the impact on the surrounding streets with closures and detours etc. Please see below for further detailed information.

Lastly, the 2026 school stationery ordering online facility is now open – please ‘check out’ the information below in preparation for the new school year!

Meri Kirihimete to all our Holy Trinity School community whānau!

May the light of Christ fill your hearts and homes with peace, joy, hope and love this Christmas season as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

May His love for us all renew our spirits and continue to bless our families and community.

Every Blessing

Learning Community Ngahere ‘SERVE’ Outreach

Learning Community Ngahere students have been working on their transfer task for “Serve” connected curriculum concept learning. They were asked to:
“Create a way to show how your new learning will lead others to encounter Christ, and present how your creation can influence the community we serve in our common home.”

Learners worked in groups to prepare small hampers for mums and babies, showing how acts of service can share Christ’s love with others. With support from Ms Ahern, they also learned to sew baby sensory toys, and made prayer rocks, key chains, prayer cards, and cards of congratulations adding a meaningful, handmade contribution to their hampers.

In RE, learners created Kindness Advent Calendars. Each day includes a simple act of kindness—such as helping at home or offering support to someone—encouraging learners to live out the message of Christ through daily action.

Through their creations and reflections, learners are showing how they can have a positive influence on their community and serve others with compassion. Their efforts demonstrate that even small acts of kindness and service can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. “Ka mau te wehi” LC Ngahere tamariki me te kaitiaki – your creations are amazing and are bringing so much joy to the families they have been gifted to!

Vector Project – Impact for Airfield Road Access

Find attached the latest update for the Vector Project in the Takanini area.

Hello,

An update on the electricity network project in your area

As promised, we’d like to keep you updated on the project as we work through your area.

As a reminder, we’re here to upgrade electrical equipment near you, as well as support the development of a new data centre, which will deliver essential information storage and exchange services to the wider community. The work, which will happen in phases, is currently underway until approximately mid-2026. Final reinstatement is scheduled in 2027 (we’ll keep you updated as we go).

Excavation of ducts has started on Airfield Road, between Porchester Road and Takanini School Road as well as Takanini School Road between Airfield Rd and Manuroa Rd. We are currently preparing to move on to Porchester Road from Saturday 27 December which will continue into next year (please see the reverse side of this letter for a map of the work zones).

Once again, we appreciate this is a significant amount of time to be in your area and are committed to getting it finished as quickly and quietly as we can. We’ve coordinated with Auckland Transport to minimise disruption to you and your community as much as we can.

Work will take place on the following roads (which will be signposted):

  • Airfield Road (1–90)
  • Takanini School Road (20–56)
  • Porchester Road (252–314)
  • Nancy Wake Street (West)
