School Enrolment Information

Thank you for considering Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School for your child’s education.

Starting school is an exciting time for both children and families.

At Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School, we believe that all children from Catholic families are entitled to a Catholic education. Ideally, we would like to enrol every Catholic child who wants to come to our school.

However, we are required to work within our maximum roll, which is stated in the school’s official Integration Agreement with the Ministry of Education. Currently, our maximum roll is set at 400. This means we are unable to exceed 400 students at any one time.

Our school roll is now being managed due to the limited number of classroom buildings and spaces available. Any further school enrolments for the 2024 school year and beyond, need to be discussed with our School Principal.

Families wishing to enrol their child/children at Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School, are advised to contact the School Office for further information – phone: 09 296 9039

All enrolment applications for 2025 must be submitted by 31 August 2024.

Families will be notified of confirmation of enrolment acceptance by 30 September 2024 for the 2025 school year.

For preference students, parents or caregivers must obtain a Preference of Enrolment Certificate signed by the Parish Priest of their Parish. Preference certificates can be downloaded from the school website.

As part of the Enrolment process, you will need to bring with you to an interview, copies of your child’s:

  • Baptism Certificate (for Preference Enrolments)

  • New Zealand Birth Certificate (Preferred document of identification) or Passport

  • Passport showing current residency status (if not born in NZ)

  • Preference of Enrolment Certificate by your Parish Priest (for Preference Enrolments)

  • Your child’s immunisation certificate

Optional
Children who are not Catholic are welcomed into our school community, depending on places available (as we are only allowed 5% of our maximum roll for non-preference children).
