Christmas Greetings

Dear Families

As we come to the end of this very busy 2016 year, we are very proud to present our first official school newsletter for Holy Trinity Catholic Primary School. It has been an exciting time to be part of the creation of our new school community and to be involved in the planning, development and preparation stages of the school’s establishment.

We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting with all of our families, especially the children, as part of the enrolment interview process and are grateful for the opportunity to share home and school information. Thank you also to families who were able to be present at the Community meetings and for the way you shared aspirations for your young ones as they commence their schooling journey at Holy Trinity.

We are well underway with the progress and development of the new school buildings so if you do get a chance, drive down Airfield Rd to see the “final” stages being completed. The school is looking great! Furniture and resources will be arriving on site Thursday 26th January. Unfortunately due to Building Site procedures, we are only able to have staff on site for this day. Thank you for your kind offers of help though.

Below is further information to support preparation and readiness for our school commencement in February 2017.

We look forward to gathering with you all and Bishop Patrick Dunn on Waitangi Day 6th February 2017 4:00pm at the school site for a special Blessing Ceremony of the children, families, staff and school buildings.

Whenever we gaze into the crib this Christmas season,
may new hope and joy flood our spirit.

And may the Christ child draw us into unity

Amen

Wishing you all a happy, peace-filled and Blessed Christmas.

The Time of Christmas

It is the week of Christmas and it’ll be a busy time for our families as we make plans and organise family gathering and time together with friends and loved ones.  But also during this time, it is important for us to take some time to still ourselves and reflect on the year gone by.  Let us welcome our Messiah with a grateful heart as we look forward to a new year full of hope and new beginnings.  The birth of Christ is a time for us to celebrate and remind ourselves of the blessings that we have.  With grateful hearts we welcome Christ this Christmas day and with a hopeful heart we look forward to the journey of what 2017 may bring.
May the joys of Christmas bring you happiness and peace.
